Dear Sir:
Would you be able to help me out. I'm looking for the rules of Okey, a Turkish game?

Ken
I own an Okey turquish set consisting of plastic pieces (similar to a domino piece) numbered from 1 to 13 in 4 different colours (black, red, blue and yellow) with two identical of each, and two 'jokers' for a total of 106 pieces. The set includes four nice wooden supports allowing two rows of 14 pieces for each player and a leather bag for the pieces.
It is played as a variant of Rummy. 13 pieces each player, one p. taken each turn if you can not meld, no discards except for melding. The first melding of a player should be at least 25 points in new groups (jokers score the used place).
Melding: a new group must be a suite of at least 3 consecutive p. of the same colour or at least 3 p. with the same number (different colour). Once your first melding done, you can add single pieces to existing groups, rearranging all p. you want from the table. You must keep jokers in its place unless you have exactly the p. the joker is acting as (i.e, you can not move a joker from a suit to a repeated-number group or viceversa, but you can change the joker for the piece needed and then move it. Is it clear ?). The groups must be allways at least 3 p. and no repeated colour in groups of the same number. The suits can go from 13 to 1, but not more (12-13-1 yes. 13-1-2 no).
The first player going out of p. will win all the points in the opponents hands. A joker in hand is worth 20 points.
Hope it helps. E-mail me if you need more details.
Thanks for your excellent pages.
